Mission Statement: The goal of Munchkin Movement is to provide high quality fitness programs which foster the physical, intellectual, and social development of toddlers, preschoolers, and young school age children. Using a safe, creative, and playful atmosphere, children will be encouraged to practice age appropriate fine and gross motor skills in the water and on land. Children will be exposed to themes such as ABCs, 123s, shapes, and colors as the backdrop for each session of classes. Social skills such as following directions, waiting your turn, helping and respecting others, and using good manners will be reinforced in each class. Program Basics: Munchkin Movement programs will consist of six 30 minute classes held on a weekly basis. Advantages of 6 week sessions over longer sessions include lower cost, easier scheduling for parents, and no long term commitment. Instructor Experience: Katherine Schwab, the owner and sole instructor for Munchkin Movement, grew up loving to swim and dance. Katherine has been sharing her passion for fitness in the water and on land for over 13 years, teaching at dance studios, health clubs, and YMCAs in both Maine and Massachusetts.
